PR, at is core is how human we are together. PR is Human Relations!

Love this! I’m in the PR professional and at its core, are these very simple principles whether we convey them to ourselves, employees, constituencies, clients or just the general public. PR is Human Relations, because as this short video demonstrates, at its core is simply how, as human beings, we relate to each other about our likes, loves and disagreements. Thank U, Brilliant!

Strategy Entails Successfully Managing the tension Between Center and Periphery. History teaches us that the center does not always remain the uncontested center.
Outsiders on the periphery often traverse the distance to the center and conquer it. By contrast, it is much harder-but not impossible-for the center to make its way to the periphery.
Those who occupy the center usually recognize their vulnerability only when it too late. Every business competes in a dialectical space between the center and the periphery. The Center’s strength is also its weakness.

It’s time! @peripherypr.com we want you to upload your most insane ideas! As storytellers, our stories can only be written by us! And as a story-teller, I have always been interested in the power and impact of the written, spoken and lived transcript. The human document is fascinated with the images that these words evoke; where love, hate and everything in between gets media coverage and become news . But what about the words an ideas that are not publicized, denied the benefit of critical analysis, the word on the Interstitial of life; the words, images, ideas and thoughts that fit neither on the front page or in the back section of media coverage. Those ideas that refuse to rest in one place, rejecting  a narrowing of who we are by either/or decision, placed always on the periphery; the place where history gets and stars are born.

PeripheryPR…Perceiving our world differently!

As we embark upon the New Year, with new ways of experiencing our lives, I want to share something with you. This is about living life with a yes, already on your lips. Really, that is at the heart of my business vision and mission going into the New Year. A vision and mission, that is also apart of, I believe, of everything we are, as human beings,  who want new ways of seeing ourselves and the world that we are apart of. And what better way to do that, but by letting  you now that, you are not alone! Our world as beautiful as it is, is  also filled with lots of reasons, experiences and relationships that disappointment us . However, in those disappointments, are also new and exciting ways of seeing ourselves and those experiences, not as, failures or heartbreak’s, but as opportunities and new beginnings. New beginnings and opportunities, that tells a story of survival, ingenuity, creativity and forgiveness! At PeripheyPR, we are all about new beginnings! New beginnings that refuse to dispose of the problems and difficulties of yesteryear, but instead, see them as opportunities to perceive ourselves and our world in new, beautiful and useful ways! Opportunities to recycling old hurts, disappointments, failures, and pains and create and re-create something new for people, businesses, organizations and ourselves! Nothing will be taken  for granted, everything belongs! All the chaos of yesterday, today and tomorrow envisioned into a divine, hopeful and beautiful opportunity to change yourself, your community and the world! As we enter 2012, we, at PeripheryPR, are committed, with our leverage partners, and  consultants, as your driver, vehicle and navigator for all you hope is possible! We believe in the impossible! We believe in the dreamer in you! We are what’s possible! We are BIG dreamers!  We’re many ideas! Creative Strategists, Planners, Innovators and initiator! We are Change Agents! But in the end, more importantly, we’re people, like you, who want the best, so let’s do it, together!  Even though it’s easier than ever for us to connect, it’s never been harder that ever to reach and touch each other, that’s where being able to engage people, right where they are is important! Our experiences, determination, knowledge and passion, taught us that. At PeripheryPR , we excels at Creative Innovation that hits home and builds loyalty—the kind of bond that allows organizations, and most important, people, to create lasting change and inspire audiences and change lives, and outcomes. So, as we enter this new and exciting journey; let’s do it together! Let’s push the envelope together! Let’s perceive what life , is as we imagine, and  re-image a life with nothing holding us back, not even ourselves! In 2012, as community, together,  Let’s do this!

Beau-T-Ful!!!

scottseyephotos

Hi everyone!  We’ve returned from the wilds of Africa (and New York City) a little road weary but armed with a tremendous experience (and a few thousand pictures) and memories.  I still have lots of things to do to get the photos arranged as I had a major problem with my portable hard drive that I stored my photos on (both operator and hardware issues).  In addition, I’m scheduled to have cataract surgery tomorrow morning so I’m a little preoccupied with that prospect.  Given all that, the trip was incredible and I’m anxious to share our captured moments with you!!

With all that we saw and experienced, its hard to figure out where to start.  So, as Julie Andrews sang in the Sound of Music, I’ll “start at the very beginning as thats a very good place to start”.  We flew from Cape Town to Johannesburg and then on to…
